LAUSD Indian Education Program 2018 Art Contest

 

Eligibility: Please limit submissions to 1 per person. Artists must be an LAUSD student K-12 or home schooled. Participants must be enrolled in the Indian Education Program. To enroll in the program click here.

Theme: All submitted Art work must address this year’s theme: "Strength In Our Community; Diversity & Unity" LAUSD has one of the most diverse American Indian populations in the United States with over 200 different tribes each with their distinct culture and languages. We are looking for original digital art pieces that embrace cultural diversity and show the strength of our community when we all work in unity.

Specifications: 

Entries must have been created in the 2017-2018 academic year

Artwork must be sent electronically (emailed) in JPEG/PNG format and must be at least 1500x1000 pixels per inch minimum and at full resolution (do not compress).

Artwork must be an original piece created using a computer, digital applications, or a digital camera. 

The digital file must contain the student's last name and first name.

Please include a brief 2-4 sentence description of the students digital artwork describing how it follows the theme: “Strength in Our Community;” Diversity & Unity.

Each entrant must submit an Entry Form and LAUSD Release Form.

 2018 Important Dates

Submission Period Begins January 31, 2018

Submission Period Ends March 23, 2018 Each entrant must submit a Student Information, Artwork Information, and Release Form and must have a valid 506 Indian Education Program eligibility form on file.  Entries without these 4 requirements will not be a valid entry.
