Come join the LAUSD Indian Education Program and the USC Native American Students Union's, Dance and Regalia Workshop!

It is 100% free of charge to all students with completed 506 forms, that enters them into our Title VI program. If they don't have one please come anyways and we will sign them up when you arrive. It's very simple.

Every Wednesday at 6:00pm - 8:00pm, September 28th - November 16th

In this workshop students will take weekly dance lessons. In addition to dance lessons they will also be taught about each dance style and the histories behind the dances. They will learn other important aspects of the pow wow cirlce includeing respect, proper protocols and much more. When the porgram is completed the student will be introduced to the pow wow cirlce in a traditional initiation ceremony that is important to every pow wow dancer.

Parents we are not leaving you out. We would like you to attend the dance classes as well. In addition to learning along side your children we are offering regalia workshops that will teach you how to make your children their very own regalia. We want all students to have a completed regalia to use by the end of the workshop. All supplies and tools will be provided by our program.

This is just the first of two dance programs we will be offering this year. The second one will expand on what we have started.
